Israel When Pharaoh let go Part2
Israel When Pharaoh let go Part2 |Id#rp-012913-israel-pharaoh-let-go2
The People have left Egypt and the threatening Pharaoh is defeated. For all the miracles, the people did believe. Yet as we follow Israel we find them murmuring at the “bitter waters”. This is the beginning of Israel’s journey and yet for many, it will be many more years before they reach the Promised Land and for some, they will not reach it at all.
Moreover there is much to be gleaned for the remnant believer today. The biblical story of Israel here and Moses is a prophetic picture of our Great God and his dealings with a people. This reveals to us that God moves in his people, teaches them, proves them, and brings them to himself. Yet for us today, it is this and much more. This is our roots, our God, and brings to us how great and marvelous the plan of God is to redeem his people and bring them into the land he promised them. This shows us today, that his plan continues and will be accomplished. He will be our God and we will be his people.
Exo 15:22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
Exo 15:23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
Exo 15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
