To’ak, The World’s Most Exclusive Dark Chocolate, Debuts
To’ak (pronounced Toe-Ahk): Derived from a fusion of ancient dialects in Ecuador, the name To’ak means “earth” and “tree”, which together represent the true source of all chocolate. We liken this name to the French term terroir, which describes how the taste of an artisanal product (wine, cheese, chocolate) expresses the specific soil and climate conditions of the land on which it was grown. Chocolate love and To’ak, World’s Exclusive Dark Chocolate
In my regular journey life, there exists few pleasures that are not sinful. Man sends his lust after sex, money, and idols.
Yet, there is a pleasure of Dark Chocolate that one eats in small bites, it is not a sinful lusting. It is not a gorging pleasure, it is a taste, aroma, and flavor experience. Now there is To’ak, which I have not tried and because it is for the very discerning of dark chocolate tastes and pricey; I probably won’t ever eat it; unless it is sent as a present or I just stumble over it. But here is my contribution to the end all of chocolate. Read more at the To’ak site.
The fact that many enjoy chocolate like the one above doesn’t mean they are chocolate gourmet’s. The sugar content is high and in these chocolates are more filling with more sugar. The chocolate we traditionally ate, the old standby my Dad ate was a plain Hershey’s chocolate bar. Today, however we have moved ahead of that bar by using more defining methods of picking what to plant in regards to Cacao beans, then meticulously farm raise it, and hand pick the beans. Then they make the chocolate to represent the most defining taste in chocolate and dark chocolate at that.
Now it is not the standard bar chocolate either that many gourmet chocolatiers use. It is not the chocolate Grandma and I used to make fudge or even cookies. We thought they all tasted so grand. They did taste great, but actually taste in in the buds of him who tasteth.
The new trend in chocolates for many years now have been towards finer chocolate. I eat, for example Organic Chocolate, and also have purchased Fair trade Organic. But the push to fancy organic, chocolates that vary in the amount of Cacao is in them is popular. If you eat chocolate that is 70% Cacao, then you like dark chocolate. You can buy it even darker. But you can also buy it in milder forms.
Chefs have a career of developing fine chocolates and being able to create masterpieces out of chocolate. There has been a love affair with the dark bean for centuries. Today though news has it that we will run out of chocolate by 2030. If so, better eat up, store up, and prepare for a Chocolate winter. The world is just warming up to eating this in a gourmet style and for that reason we are running low!
