Nigeria Fulani Attack kills Tribal Chief in ongoing violence: Perilous Times
Writing to his young ‘son in the faith’, the Apostle Paul told Timothy in his second epistle and verse one “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” The usual idea given when this verse is looked at is that these ‘times will be grievous’. But the **Pulpit commentary makes a point saying ‘Grievous’ is not a very good rendering.
What the times will be like is ‘uneasy’, times a believer that is living in these end of days ‘does not know which way to turn or what to do’. Simply put, Christians will always face some trouble or problem that will come against them. It makes a person ‘uneasy’, it becomes Perilous. Like in the middle east, Nigeria, and elsewhere; Christians face death daily! This is definitely ‘perilous or grievous’. In Nigeria, if your a Christian Farmer; danger lurks in the form of Muslim militants that may be linked to Boko Haram. Many have died and lost their land. It is more than perilous, it now has become life threatening. Pray for these brethren, for the Lord to make a way for them.
