“now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire” –From Apostle Peter in his 1st Epistle; vs 6,7
Iran’s No Friend Policy towards Christians, Pastors, and Leaders
Iran’s No Friend Policy towards Christians is legendary and over the years we have seen those like Saeed Abedini, a former Iranian Muslim who came to Christ and then became a Pastor; was then targeted by the regime. The fear, as I have written before of Muslims towards the Christian faith is devilish and so are the Iranian leaders who continue to push their policy of engagement and persecution against all Christians.
Now we have learned through ICC that more Pastors have been imprisoned in the country for their faith. A few days ago, on the 24th three Pastors were visiting Iran and the trio soon found themselves arrested.
Eldar Kurbanov (48), Yousif Farkhadov (51), and Bahram Nasibov (37) are pastors of the Word of Life Church in Baku, Azerbaijan, located along the Black Sea. The families and local legal experts have had no contact with the pastors since their arrest. Four days after the arrest, communication was opened between the families and the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan, as well as the ministry of Foreign Affairs, but no information has been given regarding their detainment. –Washington, D.C.
