Russia and Turkey normalize Relations as new chapter begins, and the healing process may take awhile. But for Putin and his cronies, it is important to get back to business. Don’t need anymore enemies than they have now. With all of Europe and the US pushing sanctions and hitting Russia over the Ukraine deal, it is probably good that Erdogan made nice.
Afterall, it was Turkey that shot down the Russian fighter jet. But it was Russia who strayed over the line. In the end, we had Netanyahu apologize to Erdogan over an international incident, then Erdogan apologized to Putin over an international incident. Today Turkey has better relations with Russia and with Israel. See what a little apology will do instead of bullets!
