Looking back 2015 Review for 2016: Strange winter storms a ‘fluke’ not El Nino -Climatologist. Way back in December of 2015, we were looking at an El Nino that was to hit. The Northern states were to have a mild winter then, what happened? Here is what it looked like back then.
Strange winter storms a ‘fluke’ not El Nino so says the State climatologist of Washington state. It is interesting to note that the “northern states” are to have a mild winter. Really? Let me say that we are not currently in a mild winter. We have had snow, bitter cold, more snow, and more cold.
This is or has not been a “mild winter”! Yes, we had some mild weather, but to say overall this is a mild one; I wish! We are still waiting for the milder winter from El Nino. Anyway, here is a take from another Climatologist on the “strange weather” we have been having, calling it a fluke, he emphasizes it is not the cause of El Nino.
