Verified Purchase I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. Some folks will ask if it is possible for treasonous forces inside America to be actively trying to bring America down. The forces of the evil darkness will do whatever it takes, to satisfy their dark lord. Pick up The Rising, you'll be glad that you did.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. Deceitfulness, Discernment, and Decision
Deceitfulness, Discernment, and Decision describe these lawless ends of days in which we live. Reflecting though I can see John the Baptist, dressed in Camel’s hair and broadcasting the words, “make straight paths for the Lord.” No doubt in Israel at the time they knew what back of woods prophets were. In John’s case, he was from the desert, spent time alone probably. Then the call came to send John out of the wilderness to the people so the message would be heard. Today we need to hear a call like that, “make straight paths”, don’t get “caught up” in society. Wake up! For many Americans today there is that common mentality of, “oh well it won’t happen here. The American Eagle had landed, it was the hot days of summer. July 20th, 1969. So long ago, but I remember it well. President JF Kennedy made it a goal to reach the moon. We did. This was long before the internet, cell phones, computers, and all the technology we have today. It would be decades before the time of 2020 would arrive. Now here we are. End of Days Shadows of Judgment. Without doubt believers in Jesus Christ are looking to the Day of his appearing. We live in the shadows of Judgment, just as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and others did in their day. When reading the words of the Apostles we find much in their lives and what they faced. I can investigate the daily situations they came up against. For all they went through, they did not face the Judgment of a nation, per se, as we will see in these last days. We find great ‘live ability’ in these writings of scripture by the hand of the Apostles, through the inspiration of the Spirit of God. We can peer into the daily life and see what they faced.
