Verified Purchase I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. Some folks will ask if it is possible for treasonous forces inside America to be actively trying to bring America down. The forces of the evil darkness will do whatever it takes, to satisfy their dark lord. Pick up The Rising, you'll be glad that you did.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. During Division in America, partisanship, and me first; I don’t mind publishing and making these kinds of patriotic truths available right now. We need them. Today the Biden administration, the attack on the America we grew up in has continued. Yet the truths of what we believed still live on in the hearts of true Americans. The Fourth of July and the Way it Was, is for me a day of remembrance. Our family was just one of many that celebrated it in our town. It was the time of parades, fireworks, patriotism, and picnics with family and friends. End of Days Shadows of Judgment. Without doubt believers in Jesus Christ are looking to the Day of his appearing. We live in the shadows of Judgment, just as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and others did in their day. When reading the words of the Apostles we find much in their lives and what they faced. I can investigate the daily situations they came up against. For all they went through, they did not face the Judgment of a nation, per se, as we will see in these last days. We find great ‘live ability’ in these writings of scripture by the hand of the Apostles, through the inspiration of the Spirit of God. We can peer into the daily life and see what they faced. There is a lost glory of Americanism, that ideal for which many have fought and died for. The departure from England at the beginning of our nation was one to create a new world and lose the old European system. There are many Patriots today in America. They come in all sizes, shapes, and races. The attraction to freedom and the constitutional guarantees is not bitten off because of race or sex. Freedom is innately in the soul. It feeds the appetite for that freedom which began so long ago. My own Grandfather and Great Grandfather knew of this well. As did our many forebears in our own family.
