Verified Purchase I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. Some folks will ask if it is possible for treasonous forces inside America to be actively trying to bring America down. The forces of the evil darkness will do whatever it takes, to satisfy their dark lord. Pick up The Rising, you'll be glad that you did.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. Take heed to this broadcast and the messages it contains. However, in Nigeria today there is a blood bath with radical Islamic extremists murdering Christians in the war on Christianity. In Syria we find Christians also being attacked by other Islamic elements and these attacks are a bitter reminder of just how evil and wicked these groups are in their virulent war on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which means all Christian believers and their families are a target! Christian Non-conformity in the World
Christian Non-conformity in the world. The phrase sounds opposite of what Christians are called to do. While we are in this world, we are not of it. As Christ prayed In John Seventeen, verse 15 saying; “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” The Lord clearly wanted his followers to be in the world but also that the Father would keep them from the evil.” Today the challenge is to present a Christian witness, testify of the Lord, and be separate from the world. End of Days Shadows of Judgment. Without doubt believers in Jesus Christ are looking to the Day of his appearing. We live in the shadows of Judgment, just as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and others did in their day. When reading the words of the Apostles we find much in their lives and what they faced. I can investigate the daily situations they came up against. For all they went through, they did not face the Judgment of a nation, per se, as we will see in these last days. We find great ‘live ability’ in these writings of scripture by the hand of the Apostles, through the inspiration of the Spirit of God. We can peer into the daily life and see what they faced. Risen with Christ though, brings us to another level. It is here where we pass the troubles of being crybaby Christians into solid warriors for Christ Jesus. For being on the road or path that will lead us to our Lord and to our reward is a path of Grace, stewardship, Love, and spreading the Gospel. It is also a path of correction and we find that in the teachings of the Apostles and of our Lord Himself.
