Verified Purchase I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. Some folks will ask if it is possible for treasonous forces inside America to be actively trying to bring America down. The forces of the evil darkness will do whatever it takes, to satisfy their dark lord. Pick up The Rising, you'll be glad that you did.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. Rejecting Gods Word and the truth associated with it dates back to the beginning of man in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve had a choice to obey. So did Cain and Able, in the end one of the brothers died at the hand his sibling. Moses led Israel to Sinai where the covenant was given for the the people to make with Jehovah. The story of God giving His word follows through the prophets and to the houses of Israel. It gains momentum when the Lord came to testify to Israel and the world that the Messiah had arrived. After Calvary, the message of the Gospel went forward. Today we still have the message and the warning. Son of God Witness -It would be a dynamic testimony for anyone would be able to say, ‘I saw and bare record that this is the Son of God,’ but for us today, we live by faith and have not seen personally this Son of God, but we still believe, based on this testimony and others like it. For with this testimony, and the work of the Spirit of God, the anointing breaks open the darkness in our hearts to let in the light of the Gospel, the good news of salvation. That good news is, God sent forth his Son to save sinners, of which, I am; but thanks to God, through the ‘Lamb of God, I now have been rescued by the ‘blood of the covenant’. Laying up Treasure can be accurately summed up by viewing America and many rich nations of the West. A place where Christianity flourished with faith and repentance; along with revivals. If there is one place which has made plenty of room for this section of scripture to be discussed, it is Luke chapter twelve. It is easy for many believers to fit America and Americans in it. But look to many other western nations, Europe, and Australia to mention a few; they also fit into it. But there is more to it than just blaming nations and their Kingdom of Commerce and billionaires. Hint, Not everyone is rich or loves money.
