On that first day the Son of Perdition stood before the crowd of tens of thousands; I stood alone. No one knew, how could they? For I was by myself. There were no more left of the Christ sect as these called us. As I stood there in tears; I was not alone. For all around me stood people weeping over the one who was speaking. Everyone thought, I too; stood weeping for the moment of which they all longed for. But I stood weeping for mankind. I knew what was going on. At that moment, surrounded by so many; I was surrounded but by myself. Oh, where were the believers? How did this happen? Although I knew scripture, I also knew that all is prophetically fulfilled. The one who now stood before us continued blaspheming the God of Heaven, His Son, and all that is sacred and holy. I stood trembling and knew; God was watching me!
(18) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
(19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

The one who stood tall, spoke in ecstatic gestures. His words flowed like honey and bit like a viper. He asked. ” Is Christianity extinct? Can faith be reduced to a few sound bites in a news broadcast saying the last Christian church has closed.” His words continued as I listened in the massive crowd.
” Indeed, my friends; the remaining Christians belonging to the Christ sect have died. Now as a world we can continue to rebuild what Christianity in its heyday destroyed. By believing in a nonsensical god with some mysterious savior, we can as humans finally reach our contradictory achievement and goal of who we were to become. For our goals were opposite that of these Christians. They were one, we were the anti-thesis. In a word, indeed we were and are the Anti of Christ. As they called us, Antichrist; yes, we were most assuredly that. In the end, we won; they lost. We were never sinners, and ultimate truth was betrayed by the so-called bible. ” I recoiled in horror as I listened. What Lies I pondered under my breath, yet he continued.
“Yet as we look back on these who were called Christians; it can certainly be said they truly believed in what they stood for!” “For these, Jesus Christ was the Son of God and His Father a loving God who sent His only begotten Son. Yes, we can all agree that no matter how much they were reduced to nothing by their foolish beliefs; they certainly stood for what they called their Faith and Testimony of Jesus Christ! If ever there were a people who could teach us to be adamant in our beliefs, even to the point of destruction, these of the Christ sect could teach us that. In the word of these Christ followers, let it be said Amen to their end and their stubbornness. Now onward to global peace, without and within let us fulfill our God-hood destiny!”
I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

In the spirit realm where no one could behold, there stood legions of angelic warriors. At the head was the One who is Almighty, the Son of God. At that moment, the heavenly legions took note of the importance of this arrival. This was the one whom scripture defines as he of perdition or destruction.
“Lord who is he who is weeping for the plight of mankind?”
“That is Joshua, yes, his parents gave him the gift of this great name upon birth. He now stands alone in that multitude. The very ones I died for, but these rejected me” The Lord Jesus Christ stopped and looked at the legions behind and around him. He spoke up to them in a voice of many waters that boomed throughout heaven, “It has begun, we will wait for times, time, and a half a time. Then we shall come quickly, for my kingdom waits only for the Word of God to be fulfilled”
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

“Lord does he not know that there are multitudes hidden as he is hidden. He walks openly among them, and they have no clue who he is or what he believes” the angel turned to the Lord and waited.
“No, he does not; but his journey will begin soon. He will
become a great leader and do wonderous exploits in my name. He has the
anointing of Elijah and shall be my witness.” The Lord Smiled and finished; “the gates of
Hell shall not prevail against my church, my ecclesia, my called-out ones”!
As the one speaking finished, I was more than prepared to
finish listening. But as I stood there; the Spirit of God prompted me, and I
looked around. Suddenly I saw the sky filled with chariots, warrior angels, and
there at the head stood the LORD Jesus Christ.
Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

My heart burst, tears ran even more, my body shook and suddenly I fell as a dead man. There I stood looking at the body which was mine. The LORD came to my side, “My Son, I have chosen you and you will be my witness to all nations for my name’s sake. Let it be known, I have many who have not bowed the knee to this son of destruction. The time is now. Many seek for an answer. I will give you wisdom and knowledge. Whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. What you loose on earth will be released at my hand. For those who oppose you the fire of your lips shall purge many. It shall also destroy your enemies. Do not fear, I am with you until the end of the age, AMEN.”
I wakened suddenly and found myself on the ground. The crowds had gone. I was alone and I knew that I must go. Suddenly I heard His voice, “rise my Son and Go! I shall feed you by my hand and give you all that you require.”
At that, I walked and knew that with me were legions of Angels with Christ at the head. I knew that deep within the whole end of days, stood a purpose. That purpose was redemption for all who would accept it. To the glory of the Father and His Son; Jesus [Yeshua] Christ. The Alpha and Omega, the Almighty One who is coming soon!

I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. Some folks will ask if it is possible for treasonous forces inside America to be actively trying to bring America down. The forces of the evil darkness will do whatever it takes, to satisfy their dark lord. Pick up The Rising, you'll be glad that you did.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. Will he prevail or will the faith of the People fighting against the darkness win?
