While #global #wars and #rumorsofwar circulate daily. We hate to much, love to little, and give heed not at all to what we need to do which is #repent and #seek the #Lord. I Send You Forth, make sure you know; the disciples were sent. They had a purpose, a #commission, an #anointing, and a Leader who had overcome all things. He finished the #redemptiveportion of the work. Now the messengers were sent with the message that all people may #besaved from the #seconddeath and the #finaljudgment.

Discipleship Occupy till I Come I Send You Forth Pt2
I Send You Forth brings us to part two in our series “Discipleship Occupy till I Come.” This week we focus on the phrase “I send you forth.” The time will come after the Lords resurrection from the dead and His ascension, then Pentecost that the group will see the giving of the Holy Spirit with all the gifts and fruits thereof, the outcome will be the mere disciples turning into Powerful Apostles with signs and wonders following them as well as, persecution and other troubles. Eventually being a martyr will be the last message they will give and the torch for spreading the Gospel will fall to those they taught, trained, and nurtured to take the Apostles place. The Gospel of Christ is always one generation away from extinction. Since their time on earth, the Gospel has always gone forth by the present generation of called anointed leaders. As Albert Barnes reminds us “Their office was clearly made known. They were to heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead, preach the gospel. They were to be with him to receive his instructions, to learn the nature of his religion, be witnesses to his resurrection, and then to bear his gospel around the globe.”

I Send You Forth, make sure you know; the disciples were sent. They had a purpose, a #commission, an #anointing, and a Leader who had overcome all things. Now the messengers were sent with the message that all people may #besaved from the #seconddeath and the #finaljudgment. #ChristJesus is that #Leader, being #Saved is that which our #Lord provided as the #PassoverLamb, the #SonofGod who #died on the #cross completing the #atonement for all who call on His name. However, the disciples were not to go home and forget it all. In Matthew chapter ten verse sixteen we find the Lord saying to the disciples “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” In Mark chapter six, versed seven to eleven and Luke chapter nine verses one to six they were sent out two by two. They were now #apostles. The word apostles mean “one that is sent”! These were sent out, sent forth to #preachthegospel. (21) And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. (22) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. (23) But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.
