The Cost brings us to part one of our new series here titled “Discipleship Occupy till I Come. We will look at the cost of being a Christian, the example of Jesus Christ. In addition, we will look close at the disciples as they followed the Lord, they these disciples turned into Powerful witnesses for the Lord Jesus after His death, burial, and resurrection. It all began on Pentecost and the giving of the Holy Spirit. These men went out in Power here [the Greek dunamis – inherent force]. These disciples became the messengers with power of the Holy Spirit, the truth of the Word of God, and the presence of Jesus, Yeshua as they went into the nations with the gospel message. Yet, there is a cost. The Cost unites with Believing and following the Lord and is where Discipleship meets the truth of “Occupy Till I Come”! This is our Faith in Christ Jesus. Living it out in the End of Days until He comes, or we die and go to him. As Paul said “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” As Luke chapter fourteen and verse twenty-seven declares “And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.” #Discipleship, #Occupy, #TheCost

The Cost is what makes true Discipleship. For the #Lord, it was the #Cost of the #cross he bore and the #deliverance he fulfilled for all mankind. When gathering His disciples who immediately saw that the Lord was #empowered and a was indeed the #Messiah to come. However, the Cost was conveyed to the group of #disciples again and again as our Lord met head on with those who confronted Him, His #message, and the claims that #God was #HisFather. This series Discipleship Occupy till I Come brings us into the very realm of the #message, the #people, and the #opposition to that message. Even today, discipleship for many #Christians overseas #persecution can bring death, prison, beaten, condemned, and losing everything you have. We introduce you to these two words. Both #Disciple and #Disciples and the meaning. It will surprise you the simplicity of these two words. Yet that simple definition can deceive people into another realm of understanding which will confuse or deceive them.

(25) And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them, (26) If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. (27) And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. (28) For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? (33) So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
