The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

The Law of Change affects everything that the Lord God created. Our God and Father and our Lord Jesus Christ stands unmovable amidst this change. The World we live in is in a constant state of Flux. While we may not like changes, the fact is everything moves through this change. The Prophets told of that change. The Word of God describes that change. It also gives us Hope, directions, and along with these changes gives us a path to follow. Here we discuss the Law of Change. A force of divine movement that brings creation and man to a point where the Lord God has determined. While nations are independent and so is man, many times we reject a divine source bringing our destiny to collide with Gods will. We don’t like being told, guided, or be admonished to repent. God has given choices along with the change we are and will continue to experience. Join with me in this journey of change.

The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

While America and the world constantly face this phenomenon of change, we know it is real. The world is changing, man changes, nations change; yet God is constant and changes not. He is perfect, holy, and righteous. Christians have long expected the return of Jesus, Yeshua, the Christ. Jesus Christ is called the Word in John chapter one. Jesus calls himself the Almighty in Revelation chapter one. While we live in this change, one day this shall all pass. That is why our Lord spent time with the Apostles to tell them about the end of days. We know these sections as Matthew 24, Luke 21, Mark 13, and passages found in John.  While they and others encompass a lot of teaching and pertains to different times; they represent change. Changes so abrupt that the Lord sat down to explain these differences.

The Apostles also dealt with changes and signs of the end of days. These differences, changes, and warnings are accompanied by signs. The signs show the coming of the Lord, judgment on nations, and other events.  Those important teachings the Lord spake to his Apostles were given an important key. But that key is given so that they would not be offended. They would not be caught off guard when they occurred. The reason the Lord gave is this; “These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.”

THE CONSTANT STATE OF CHANGE

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

Joh 15:26-16:3 |The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

As you well know there are many sections of scripture that prophetically point to the events of our day. But here, note the change that would go on around lives of the followers of Jesus Christ. It would affect them. They would be prepared for the Lord told them this would occur. Just as changes in the earth and in the nations of men. Generations of Christians have seen the changes in their own societies, morals, desires, lusts, and the spiritual battle that surrounds humankind. The Apostle Paul foretold of a time when generations of men will reject the love of the Truth. This is the truth of the Gospel. This truth reveals to us that God so loved the World, that he gave his only begotten Son for our propitiation and atonement on the cross.

Furthermore, the world itself is heading directly in this change to an event of cataclysmic proportions. No amount of leverage by man will stop this change. For many today the issue of the day is climate change. This affects many different aspects of both the societal aspects of civilization and the natural disasters caused by this climate change. Thus, the green new deal was hatched to control both society and deal with climate change. However, the real issue is not climate change but the curse. This curse will devour the earth. It is caused from the earth becoming defiled from the inhabitants who have changed the ordinances [law, commandments], broken the laws, along with those laws set down by the Lord. This follows Psalm 2 which delineates the rebellion of men and nations who want to cast off Gods laws. Again, all of this means that there will most assuredly be great change in the earth. For the believer in Jesus Christ, we can depend on our Solid Rock. Yeshua [Jesus] is the only constant in a changing world. In Psalm 2 we find these words “Kiss the Son lest he be angry.” Prophetic words detailing the Son of God who has been given rule and reign by the Father. As Christians, we must understand there is change coming.  The finality of which will be the coming dark one, that the Prophet Daniel spoke about.

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Isaiah 24:5-6; Daniel 7;25 | The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

I find it interesting here in discussing change and biblical prophecy that for a very long-time philosophers spoke of change. One such man was a Greek Philosopher named Heraclitus that lived from 535 to 475 BCE. He was before Socrates and a native of Ephesus. At that time, it was part of the Persian empire. Some believe he was the very same as Buddha who lived. Yet the interesting thing is his look at the universe, physics and one thing appeared obvious to this he addressed as thus.

“The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change”

Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher from 535 BCE; Heraclitus was famous for his insistence on ever-present change as being the fundamental essence of the universe | The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

One other term connects to Change. This is Flux which is taken from the Latin Fluxus meaning to flow. Here we see that change is constant and evolving all the time. Here that means simply everything is “changing.” Change, however; brings uncertainty. Because everything is changing. This includes man, society, earth, and the universe. The change is constant and always evolving.  Here we see that this change and uncertainly are in a state of Flux.  From the time the LORD created the heavens, earth, creatures, plants, trees, and the human species called man; the plan of God moved forward. Although creation today is always changing, the Lord changes not. The constant in this change is with man, his surroundings, and all we see as creation. It is moving forward by the Word of God and towards a final great kingdom of the Son of God.

Ever Present change: It is unique. It brings a state of uncertainty with it changing and being changed, it is in a state of flux

Flux, instability, movement, change, inconsistency, flowing, fluctuation, ebb and flow; to name a few synonyms.

The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

Christian Change, Biblical Change

One passage that brings us to change is found in Ecclesiastes. An extremely popular context of verses for the common expression found within it.  There is a Time for Everything. A season for everything, a time for every purpose, and all under heaven. All of it purposed by and observed by heaven. The entire passage leads you down a path that reveals there is surely change. Within this change are seasons and a set time for them. It begins, ends, continues, and begins again. We can be so caught up in life that it passes quickly, and you then put your life in focus and know that time has passed very quickly.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Ecc 3:1-8 A Time for Everything | The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

The comfort for Christians is that we have a guidebook, prophecies, promises, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and the promise that our Lord will never leave us or forsake us. But the true comfort is knowing one day, all this will be over, and we will be with the Lord. Yet while we are on earth as it constantly evolves and changes, the LORD changes not.

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Mal 3:6, Heb 13:8, Jas 1:17 | The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

When discussing change, the bible warns about the propensity of man to change things. From history, we know Israel fell away from the Lord God. They were given over to idolatry and every evil work.  We also know from History that empires grew, became great, and then disappeared in history. Some of those meeting their end at the hand of Judgment. For example, Nineveh repented at the warning of Jonah, yet 70 years later the Prophet Nahum details Nineveh’s fall.  Babylon took Judah captive, but Persian King Cyrus took Babylon and set Judah free. Rome was a great empire that divided and then eventually fell.

Today with our modern technology, devices, knowledge, and ability to create and do things no other generation has ever done has given us an assurance that not even God can stop man. Nevertheless, the whole of the nations of men are in Gods prophetic time clock and all of them will move through history as the Lord has revealed.

Man, Changes and so do those things around Him. Many times, he has a personal hand in that change. In Revelation we find Lord comes back. On this point scripture pointedly says that he will “destroy those who have destroyed the earth.” This is hard to believe that men and nations today would destroy the earth and those in them.  In scripture, we can find many truths concerning change. But here we find the admonition to “fear the LORD and the king” dating to the time of Israel and her kings. Yet in Romans we find the change that man has done is changing the view of the uncorruptible God into an image like unto man. Further man is seen “turning the truth of God into a lie” and began “worshipping and serving man” over “the creator and God”! Then we see that man along with woman changed the natural use of their body into things done against nature. For us today, changing scripture, biblical admonitions, and even stopping Christians from teaching and preaching the Word of God is common.

My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Proverbs 24:21, Romans 1:23, 25, 26 | The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

It is here that when discussing this cataclysmic change, there is one major change as Christians we look for. To have our vile bodies of death changed or fashioned like unto the Son of God who is blessed forever more. The scriptures that follow reveal that we shall be “changed.” This change is “forever”!  At the very last trump, the last moment, as earth is experiencing it’s change and violent behavior; the hope of all Christians will be fulfilled.

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Php 3:21; 1st Cor 15:51-52; 2nd Cor 5:17,3:18 | The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

As we can see this change affects man, nature, and all that is within it; there is the law of change. You may not see it written in the Laws within the Torah, but it is there. This law states within the confines of the bible that God changes not. Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Everything connected to that perfection of Holiness and Righteousness is Perfect and changes not. Prophecy as well poured forth from the Lord and all things hang in the balance of that Word that went forth. It will be fulfilled.

Moreover, this law also clearly delineates that Gods creation, because of the fall; this includes man and all that therein, is in a fallen state. It is subject to changes and will not find that totality of perfection to which is found in Christ Jesus through faith until the end comes. Scripture refers to this as the “Former things” which has “passed away.” In Hebrews we find that the Lord laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens. But these shall pass away, however; the Lord remains unchanged. These things will wax old as a garment and will be changed, but the Lord is the same and “thy years shall not fail.”  Another clear focus on this Law of Change.

And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Heb 1:10-12 The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

Finally, brethren I point you to this change. In America, the world, and within the nations of men; changes are coming fast. Many years ago, as a young man, a series of visions, then a word came to me. The last of which was this, “America as you know it will cease to exist.” I have lived with this phrase and those visions all my life. Yet, as I began to see the changes happening in America, the division, and the persecution of believers worldwide; I see a march into the destiny of the Prophetic end of days. It is to this which all shall go.

Our change is found in Christ Jesus. We are by Gods mercy, his Sons, and daughters. We are not to be conformed to this world, afraid of this world, nor to be intimidated by it. We are to be separate, apart from, set aside, and follow that good and perfect will of the Lord. It is to that end we must walk. We must be in prayer, in fellowship with the Lord, and walk that path to which Christ Jesus Walks. This is clearly laid out in the first chapter of 1st John. We are to walk in the Light as He is the Light. It is here that we have fellowship with him and he with us. At that point, his blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness. This is the eternal change we want. To be like Him and to be with Him.  Change comes, for it is written in Heb 9:27 “it is given to men once to die, but after this the judgment.”  We do not fear this death nor the judgment for Christ has borne the penalties for our death.  This also is change, but also is the fact that one day “death and hell” will be vanquished forever! Praise the Lord.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

One Response to The Law of Change and Bible Prophecy

  1. George Sheehan says:

Thanks Watchman…as a witness to the train wreck know as planet earth. Yes, men have changed things in the world since the very beginning. This change has always been involving humanity’s rebellion against the Most High God. Changing things to accomodate his vanity, man’s prideful will against the Lord. But our Rock does not change, our Foundation remains constant. The only change we look forward to, is changing this carnal body for a glorified body. Changing man’s control of this world, for our Lord to be sitting on His throne, reigning and ruling the nations with a rod of iron. Our Lord’s peace to you and Tower…Amen.
