Verified Purchase I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. Some folks will ask if it is possible for treasonous forces inside America to be actively trying to bring America down. The forces of the evil darkness will do whatever it takes, to satisfy their dark lord. Pick up The Rising, you'll be glad that you did.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. Living Hope and the Apocalypse. As Christians we have a Living Hope in Jesus Christ. However, sin and iniquity abound today, and we are warned that the love of many will wax cold. In addition, there are multitudes of Christians persecuted around the world. Further, in our weekly reporting we also discuss signs and wonders occurring as well. People are coming to the Lord. Yet, the full Apocalypse has not occurred. It is not as though we want the end to happen now. But in this we find the idea of having and living that Hope in these Apocalyptic times can be a problem. Yet there is a God who will help you through this.

There is nothing like hope, especially today. Plus, if you live in America as many people do; we have known prosperity and safety both. Lately, though our life in this nation has become a myriad of oppressive rules led by liberals. However, you see the horrific suffering around the world. It is getting worse. You know that many of our baby boomer generation grew up with our parents telling us to eat all our food, “People are starving in Africa”! Well, that thought did not make me eat those things as a child I did not like. But the truth was, as citizens of this ‘erstwhile’ great nation we had it so much better than most of the nations did. Our parents were telling us, in their own ways, to appreciate what we have, be thankful, and to eat what is set before you. It was true, there were starving people in Africa. But by my eating the food, well it did not help or hurt those who were suffering.
Later, in life and as I grew to my now ‘senior status’, life became more precious. It bothered me to see so much bloodshed I was seeing. Although such persecution and bloodshed were always there it bothered us to see so much of it. We confirm this persecution has increased over the years. Much of this is what I wrote on and put on our WIBR/WARN Sites. Christians, Yazidis, and minorities all were being brutally murdered. We became and are today an advocate in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord for what we see and report on. We inform and direct people to help those ministries and groups who are on the ground making a difference.
Moreover, today we have been preaching, warning, and writing for more than two decades as the WIBR/WARN Radio ministry. Our ministry and vocation in the ministry began an exceptionally long time ago in the seventies. Today we have much to be thankful for and truthfully have long sought to establish that which God had put in our hearts. To be here when it all falls, to be able to help and to bring people to the Lord. But one thing I learned an exceptionally long time ago. While you cannot make people drink the water of life, you can salt their food to make them thirsty! So, we warn, teach, and are the salt of the earth as you my Christian brethren are.

But there is so much for you and me to do and not a lot of time to do it in. While many Americans believe this nation will continue for an exceptionally long time as God allows us, truth is one day it will be all over. Time is truly short! The world is cascading into oblivion, and we are in for the ride. Yet in all the trouble we see, all the wickedness, and all those things that break our hearts; there is one thing I want you to know!
Living Hope –The Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of his Father; is in Charge!
He has redeemed all those who as in John 1 ‘Have received him’, to these he will ‘give the power to become the sons of God’. What is more as we are as in John 3 ‘born again of the Spirit’, we can have fellowship with him. We know him, to deny that we would be liars! But today, during chaos or whatever you are facing; know this, the Lord does Truly love you! He is your strength and said he would never leave you or forsake you.
Your assignment is to have faith, believe, and despite everything; let yourself be in faith with Hope. As faith is the nurture in our soul so Hope is the water to let it grow. As we walk in Faith, Hope arises because we believe that what God has promised he will do.
So, as I live daily and work from my desk, many times the horrific stories are just that; too bad, too bloody, and too horrific to tell. Yet somehow, I must relate what is going on, give people a reason not only to hope; but for many that reason to repent and seek our Lord.
I open that door with this, Faith! Quite some time ago I decided I would not open the door to tomorrow with fear or trepidation but with Faith! No matter how dark, dank, and in doubt the day looks; I will open that door by faith trusting in the Lord God to give me grace to make it through and to keep me from the Evil.

So today, here; I give you Hope and my Prayer that you will find both the Love of God in your soul and his redemption in your heart. May you know truly how much Love he has released to you through the Cross upon which he suffered, bled, and died. But he arose from the dead and today is at the right hand of the Father waiting to return. He is interceding for you and I right now. Next year is close. Soon it will birth, and we will have another year to trust the Lord, find miracles, look at hope, and be one step closer to the Lords coming.
