Prophesied Lawlessness for the Fellowship of Truth means that the world will find itself in a time when rebellion finds fulfillment. Everything that has been deemed true and natural is now cast aside. Man and woman have always had the propensity of ignoring those things that please God. The time is now that those things which were prophesied long ago come into fullness. For those who belong to the Fellowship of Truth through faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God, it is a time of extreme trouble. While we are in the world, we are not of it. Those things now filling society are relevant to the lawlessness of the age. So don’t seem surprised. As believers we are aware of what was to come. Time is short. The Lord Comes quickly.

Prophesied Lawlessness Mystery of Iniquity
It was Joshua so long ago that challenged the Israelites to fear the LORD and serve him. He spoke directly to the Sons of Isaac to put away the gods which their forefathers had served. It was a new day, a new time, and a new relationship. The covenant had been given at Sinai and while circumcision was also relevant at the time, now they had sacrifices, statutes, laws, and a tabernacle. It was a relationship to which Joshua challenged them. Would they serve the LORD God or choose to serve the gods of the nations? We know later Israel became two houses; namely one called Judah and the other Israel or the Northern tribes.
We also know that both eventually fell into grievous sin. The judgement on those two houses was very direct and harsh. At the Time Joshua warned in chapter 24 and verse twenty “If you forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.” For Christians today, this seems a bit harsh. For the people of the world who do not know God, it was unbelievable. However, Joshua also had his own priority. No matter what the Israelites chose to do, he knew exactly what he would do. He and His family would serve the Lord.
Today, however; as believers through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord, the old covenant has been fulfilled through the blood of the covenant. This is the New Testament or New covenant. Peter reveals to us, as do other Apostles the depth of God’s love to send his son to die on the cross for our sins. By the power of God, Jesus was raised from the dead after three days. He was seen alive through many infallible proofs and testimonies. Leaving instructions for the Apostles, he was taken out of their sight by a cloud. Angels standing by said “this same Jesus that you have seen go, shall so come in like manner.” He shall come again, in the clouds; John the Revelator lays out the revealing or apocalypse of Jesus Christ. It therefore behooves us to be found in Jesus Christ.
Moreover, there is a place for the believer today, being found in our God and Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is through his Spirit, His Word, and the regeneration by the Spirit of God in our lives which enables us to live for him in such a violent and sinful world. The same Apostle Peter who writes glowingly of our inheritance, being undefiled, a treasure reserved for us in heaven; also warns us. He says in 1st Peter chapter 4 and verse seventeen that “the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
Today as in the days of Joshua, there are choices. There are also the gods, lusts, sins, and deeds of the flesh. We must choose whom we will serve. The same God who sent both houses of Israel into judgment also brought judgment on their temple, priests, prophets, kings, princes, and all the people for their rebellion. For the Christian today, we can repent; but the relationship is our choices. As John says in 1st John chapter one and verse 7 “But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
Moreover, this verse reveals our relationship to being that child of His. Our sonship means being connected to him. As John chapter fifteen says, we are the vine, he is the branch. Without Him we can do nothing. Here we walk in the spirit of God, walking in the light of God as Jesus Christ walked himself. When we do, that fellowship will be united with the Son and the Father. This is the believer found in Christ. Having received Christ Jesus [John chapter 1], being born of the Spirit [John chapter 3] and being found in him; for without Him we can do nothing [John chapter 15]. But if we do sin, there is a cure! John tells us in verse 9 of 1st John chapter one “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
There is an eternal truth which is there is a True God and Eternal life. This life is in His Son Jesus Christ. We can know Him; we can be found in Him. However, this is our choice today. That is the Truth but there is also another Eternal Truth which is there is lawlessness and iniquity. This will continue to grow until the Lord Comes. He will destroy all principalities, powers, and wickedness. At that time there will be no more lawlessness.
Make sure therefore that you know that an age of lawlessness is here now. Today we live in a time of intense lawlessness. It is what the bible calls the Mystery of Iniquity. At a chosen prophetic moment, lawlessness will increase exponentially along with the many signs of the end of days found in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13. We also find descriptive passages by the Apostle Paul in the fruits of the spirit and works of the flesh in Galatians chapter Five. Romans chapter one also gives a description of such sins. There is and will be sin on this earth until the Lord Jesus Christ puts it down finally. During this lawlessness there is hope.
Scripture says, “All have sinned -Romans 3:23: 5:12” and again “The soul that sinneth shall die -Ezekiel 18: 4, 20]”. There is our endless and perfect Hope found in Jesus Christ. For through Him, we find life and not death. There is no reason to die and go to hell. Christ Jesus made a way. But for the believer, living in a time of unbridled lust and sin can be troublesome. Yet one day this time of iniquity and lawlessness against the Lord God will bring in the greatest delusion of all time.
The Mystery of Iniquity will bring in the Son of Destruction who will deceive the world. This will be a time of lawlessness against God and all his laws; natural, supernatural, and redemptive. This era of lawlessness will be so bad that it will allow this deceiver [the lawless one] to enter in and begin his rule. For lawlessness begets lawlessness. The Son of Destruction aka the Son of Perdition in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two and the two beasts of Revelation chapter 13 are lawless and will bring delusion. It is true, this lawless one could not enter if this time of intense sin and lawlessness had not occurred. In other words, without such lawlessness; he could not enter in. For the prophecy would not be fulfilled until and at such time this lawlessness had been fulfilled. Today, we see its fulfillment; I believe. There is no timetable given as to how many days until this evil one is fully revealed. However, we get a glimpse of society and its evil. It will be a time of no comparison to any other.
It is at this time, as in other eras of intense trouble; people will serve their god. The same context of John 3:16 where we find “For God so loved the world” we also find in verse 17 “God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.” However, in the final contextual verse of John 3:18 it warns “He that believeth not is condemned already.” It goes on to say that this “condemnation” is “that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil -John 3:19.”
While we may be in the most intense time of lawlessness ever there is the need to bring the gospel to all. It is imperative that Christians stand up as light and the salt of the earth. We are to bring this message to this lawless generation. This is the greatest need there is. Only God can change hearts and lives bringing deliverance to those addicted and laden down with lusts. Through Jesus Christ, there is hope for such lawlessness. Howbeit, the judgment will come. Christians will be martyred, and multitudes worldwide will die in this unbridled time when the curse [see Isaiah 24] has devoured the earth.
In such a time of lawlessness the heart of many will grow cold. Churches will be dead, lukewarm, and be at risk of the judgment themselves. Make no mistake about this Mystery of Iniquity. This lawlessness will increasingly worsen until the Evil one appears. This lawlessness will find its fulfillment in the worldwide acceptance and worship of the beast. When he appears, there will be approximately three- and one-half years until the end. But things will not all be rosy for darkness nor lawlessness. For there shall be those who know their God and shall do exploits. We are seeing these things today in the most persecuted of areas. Weekly we report on the persecuted church and in this we find when the most impossible and dangerous situations appear; God moves.
Make no mistake, many believers are killed and persecuted. But we cannot deny the miraculous that occurs. Old Testament prophet like miracles plus New Testament book of Acts miracles all are happening today! From the field reports that come in we know the enemy has these believers in their gunsights. These enemies are either ready to kill them or in the process of trying. For many years we have said such miracles will be found in the toughest of the end of days. But you must be found in Him, in close, and walking in his light. The truth here is that many who have hated Jesus Christ the redeemer, the Son of God, and all Christians; do come to the Lord. They get redeemed and born again. Their conversions many times are miraculous. Many times, they will go to very Christians they tried to kill to find out what happened to them. Make no mistake, the gospel of this Kingdom must and will be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations. Only then can the end come.
Yes, only when that final moment when some preacher, pastor, missionary, radio show, satellite station, or Christian gives his message and fulfills the Go of the Gospel in all the world; only then will the end truly come. So, don’t give in. Don’t give up hope. Don’t disbelieve but have faith. Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you. This battle is just beginning and will continue until the Lord comes and locks up ‘slew foot’ the “devil” and “deceiver” along with all his minions. So be it, even so come Lord Jesus.
