Intelligible faith The three cognitive C’s for Christian Clarity

Intelligible faith is Christian Clarity. It is not putting our faith into a system of philosophy like all other religions and ideas of men. But to understand that in the world, there is only one hope and one redeemer, Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God. We are to have a realization that God has given us of his Spirit; which is not one of fear but of “Gods love to change the world, Gods power to change the sinner, and a Sound mind given to us by our Lord to believe what he says is the truth and nothing but the truth; so, Help us God! He is real, He manifests to his followers, and He is LORD. -The Watchman Dana G Smith on Christian Clarity in an Unclear World!

Intelligible faith The three cognitive C’s for Christian Clarity

There is a problem today in this nation, theology and faith are handled in the realm of the internet by many today. Their faith or religion ends up being handled among mobs of twitter users and Facebook pages; along with the myriads of other social sites. All incapable of really handling the truth of the Christian faith. It is really easy to tweak the faith of someone, wreck the hope of another, and still believe you are doing god a service.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

1Ti 2:1-6 | Intelligible faith The three cognitive C’s for Christian Clarity

Christian Clarity is needed when we are living in such an Unclear world. A world that anything goes. A world that had thousands of Christian denominations who have the lights on for anyone to enter. What is more we have spoiled Christians, immature Christians, and people who cannot eat the meat of the Word. These are on milk, as babes in the Word. All of this today in America is what faith today has become. One recent post on a Facebook news stream said that if you believe you are saved by Grace, well then you are mistaken. The problem here is that indeed scripture says for you are saved by Grace through faith, not of yourselves, not of works lest anyone should boast.

The Apostle Paul wrote this to the Ephesians. Yep the same ones who saw the artisans carving statues of Diana and sold them to the followers of the goddess. But when the gospel came to the area, people were saved and left off serving Diana. Thus, they bought no more idols of Diana from those who made the Silver idols. This made those who made money off the idols mad and they came after the Apostles. That is what the gospel does, it delivers those who come to the Lord from the power of darkness.

No doubt that in America people today have many tricks in their arsenal when posting and discussing the Christian faith in America. We are a rich, backslidden, and indulgent society. Paul said we were saved by grace through faith. But the same Apostle warned of indulging the flesh and the deeds of the flesh warning in Galatians that those who do will come into trouble.

He emphasized they as believers must walk in the Spirit and follow the deeds of the Spirit. It brings life, the flesh brings death.  He warned in both Ephesians and Colossians of the Children of disobedience who ignored the truth and followed ways disobedient to the Lord. The Apostles warned Christians in the early church that they were different. But the truth is, that Grace is Gods favored poured out of Gods mercy. We accept his favor and believe; thus, it is imputed to us for righteousness sake.

Being saved by Grace through Faith is the road to which we enter discipleship and take up our cross. At anytime you can lay down the cross, backslide, and quit serving the Lord all together.

The post that was put on Facebook is just one of thousands that weak-kneed Christians put up for other weak-kneed Christians to read. The truth is, much deeper; and for a Christian to understand all this, they must have true Clarity of Mind through the Spirit. True understanding using the whole context of the scripture, the whole context of the chapter, and the whole context of both the Old and New Testaments. Take all this together to find the truth.

Don’t take one small portion out of context and then make a doctrine out of it. It says in Matthew 27:5 that Judas cast down the pieces of silver he got for betraying Jesus and “went and hanged himself!” In scripture we also find Jesus talking to a lawyer who was trying to trick him. This is found in Luke 10:37. At the end of the story, Jesus says to the Lawyer “go, and do thou likewise”!

So, without taking this story in it’s context and taking the truth out of context we say Judas “went and hanged himself”; so “go, and do thou likewise”!  This is an extreme example to prove a point! How many Christians do not investigate what they really read online? Make no mistake the post had some truth, but lacked more information to give a balanced doctrinal truth. Because of space limitations and how we do things online at social media sites; we end up cutting up the gospel and its truth. It is a hack job that Satan loves.

Today we see the results in lukewarm Christians, carnal Christians waiting for a Rapture to take them out of this world. We see worldly churches led by worldly Pastors, many making six figures; and some millionaires all justifying their love of the world. The saving gospel in all it’s truth as given by the Lord Jesus to the Apostles, and then to the early church; is not preached as it once was.

Today if we needed one thing, we need true Christian clarity; which means a clear understanding of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not, I repeat not a sugar daddy faith for sugar daddy Christians to find a sugar daddy savior, who has a sugar daddy Father. Nope! Put on therefore beloved; Christian Clarity with the help of scripture and the Holy Spirit!

Paul told Timothy that God did not give us a spirit of fear. That is right, we are not to fear men, demons, other gods, nations, or anything else. We are not to fear those who kill the body, but afterwards can do no more. We are, Jesus said in Matthew 10:28; giving us clarity on this fear, “fear him who can kill the body and destroy the soul, ye fear him.” The one he was speaking of was both the Father who is our God, and of himself who was given the power to judge all men. To redeem and to send to eternal judgment.

The issue here is the power of a sound mind. In this context Paul said “be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God!  The power of a sound mind here refers to the ability to continue in faith with the testimony of the Lord and not fear men nor the afflictions that come from a world who hates Christ Jesus. We were given the power of a sound mind and while it certainly gives us this soundness and pureness; this must lay within the confines of the gospel of Christ Jesus and our relationship to him.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

2Ti 1:7-11 | Intelligible faith The three cognitive C’s for Christian Clarity

To say you have a sound mind as a Christian but you deny the resurrection of Jesus Christ is heresy. To say you have a sound mind and deny the deity of Jesus Christ or denying his virgin birth! These things are heresy. As well, saying you have a sound mind as a Christian but walk in the lusts of the flesh; well this also is heresy! Having a sound mind means having it in the confines of a sound scriptural faith. Not a man-made doctrine, but a heaven-sent truth found in scripture. God saves us and delivers us from the power of darkness.  He does not keep us in the power and lusts of darkness.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. We can have Christian Clarity of Mind, one to live a godly and overcoming life!

There is a place for believers to be in that true anchor; one which keeps the soul. Our faith, given to us; making it a key to please God is the truth to which we walk. Faith in God, faith in his Word that he will keep what he says. We must be in faith, for without faith; we cannot please God! In Hebrews 11:6 it says; But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them who diligently seek him. This is another key, and it is given to us by faith, through Gods grace. But the truth here is as well, it is a hope!

You can have Christian Clarity of Soul, understanding clearly that you have hope [by your faith and the promises of God] that is an “anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast”! It is impossible for God to lie, so as he as promised so he will do. Let us draw nigh by faith and trust him; having hope. Allow that hope to be strong, to be an anchor to hold you and your family through the darkness of this age.

God has made it possible for us to say, “it is well with my soul”!

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Heb 6:17-20 | Intelligible faith The three cognitive C’s for Christian Clarity

The truth here as well is that we as the Psalmist says must ‘thirst for God, for the living God’!  Make no mistake there are times as well and you know this that along with the Psalmist; your soul may be cast down! The Psalmist spoke to his soul asking, “Why are you disquieted in me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance!” We face times that are tough, and your soul may be disquieted, uneasy, not at peace. Something is bringing you down. Many enemies are around you, stand your ground by faith, rebuke the enemy and bind him. Then speak to your soul and tell it to “hope thou in the Lord”!

To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, where is thy God? When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore, will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. I will say unto God my rock, why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, where is thy God? Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

(Psa 42:1-11)

God has given us power to overcome the lusts of the flesh in all it’s forms, so that we can bring our body into subjection to the will of Christ. This is not a halfway faith for halfway Christians. God wants us to be Christ like. We are to be all-the-way-Christian believers! To walk in the light as he, our Lord walked in the light. We can do his miracles, his signs, and people will wonder. There is going to be a further awakening among the remnant believers in Christ. Yes, there will always be the Whore church; but there are and will continue to be the fires of faith burning brightly meeting darkness head on. We are the army of Christ Jesus and through his Spirit and using his Word; we are overcomers.

Having said this, we are not to “cast away our confident” which we have in the Lord and that which is given us in scripture. For with our faith believing, and our walk achieving the closeness to the Lord, we are more than conquerors. We are not to give in, quit, or pull back.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Heb 10:35-39 | Intelligible faith The three cognitive C’s for Christian Clarity

This is the part of the “being saved by Grace” you must understand. Once we enter into veil through faith and find our Lord; we cannot quit or draw back. For so doing will send us into Perdition!

Thus, we can have Christian Clarity of Body, serving Christ Jesus in this body; by faith and obedience. We are the stewards of faith and the heralders of the coming of the Lord! For he alone is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

My friends it is a race and Paul attests to this as he spoke to the Corinthians. He told them “So run, that ye may obtain.” It is a race, not unlike the ones we have in the world today where people race against each other to win a prize, but their prizes are earthly and will vanish. But we run a race in the earth, by faith and by body, and by mind. Using all the facilities God has given us we race for the prize, but our prize is not of this world. Our kingdom is not of this world, yet; that is! One day we will inherit the world. One day we will stand before the Lord and will receive for the things done in this body, whether they be good or bad.

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

1Co 9:24-27 | Intelligible faith the three cognitive Cs for Christian Clarity

It is here that we must run and use the truth of God’s word to light the path to which we walk in this darkened world. Look up, your redeemer draws nigh and so does your redemption in all its fullness. Develop your Christian Clarity in an Unclear World!

There is no improving the future without disturbing the present. Many do not recognize the fact as they ought, that Satan has got men fast asleep in sin and that it is his great device to keep them so. But if we awake the sleeping sinner, he will gnash on us with his teeth.
Intelligible faith that is to have your own Clarity in Christ Jesus: the quality or state of being clear, i.e. Lucid [easy to understand, comprehensible, coherent, intelligible] concerning the things of Christ Jesus and what he has done for all those who would believe. The Gospel that represents Jesus Christ, not as a system of truth to be received, into the mind, as I should receive a system of philosophy, or astronomy, but it represents Him as a real, living, mighty Savior, able to save me now.
