Through the Glass Darkly, we do see; however today clearly, we behold things. It is the utmost on our hearts and minds to fulfill what the Lord calls His saints to do. The greatest of all that is written of Christ, the most important is the Love of the Father who gave His only begotten Son to die for the sins of all men. Also equally important is the Love of the Son who so gave His life in sacrifice to redeem all people by His blood on the cross of calvary, and then after three days we find Him resurrected from that tomb. Today as believers our message is more important than any other on this earth. The opposition to us as Christians and to the Message of the cross is met and in spite of that we are more than conquerors through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This time of the year the morning sky is usually clear, the stars are out, and on a full moon the landscape is readily seen. There was a time when I got up early, as in, four thirty in the morning. These days Five am sharp marks the hour I get up. Usually that is, however, some mornings the Lord wakes me up early, real early. Those times are spent quietly with Him pertaining to what the early morning wakeup call is about. Sometimes intercession, other times quiet listening as I write what the Holy Spirit gives me.
For now, we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
(19) If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. (20) But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept. (21) For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. (22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Moreover, the Apostle Paul’s words ring true from First Corinthians fifteen, verse nineteen saying that “if in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” This statement reflects the eternal nature of the hope we have in Christ. While many live for today, we do not necessarily do that. We enjoy the day, live it for Christ, but our hope is in Christ, his kingdom, and the hope of redemption for all eternity. Today America is centered on the things we see, feel, touch, taste, think, and do. This can be summed up by Johns words, “the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, and the lust of the eyes.” It can be seen displayed in magazines, newspapers, on television, in our videos and everything else we do. To test this, take a magazine and remove every ad that has something to do with food, clothes, and entertainment etc. See what you have left. For the believer today living among a nation of people that are increasingly the masters of ‘hedonism’ is a tough call. Which in plain English says we believe pleasure or happiness is the highest good in life. Taken from the Greek word ‘hedone’, meaning pleasure does describe not only America but the nations of men in general.
In truth, especially for Christians; living in today’s world is full of isms. From other faiths i.e. religions, and onto Paganism, Mormonism, Catholicism, the choices are many. However, Jesus, Yeshua the Christ pointedly told the Jews “Ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
If you believe not that I am he. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

The choice for mankind is to choose correctly. When Jesus went to the cross and died; he was dead in the tomb for three days and rose again. The Apostles witnessed this and were sent to preach the truths Jesus Christ gave them. For mankind, however; the factor was one of Faith and Belief. Here, the believer has the confirmation that God’s Spirit would bear witness with the Spirit of the believer that they were indeed the Child of God.

In addition, as Christians we are to believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, that he will lead and guide us. Faith and believing that Faith consists of our action. We actively believe, we keep the words of the Lord and those which the Apostles gave us. For example, not only do we keep the Words of our Lord in our heart and on our mind, tucking into our spirit; but we also face challenges as other people do. As such our generation is what many believe to be living in the last days, also known as the Perilous times which Paul, warned Timothy about. Today, we can see the signs of these last days which indeed are perilous or “hard to bear”. We also see rampant sin, uncleanness, murders, rapes, and much more. Paul’s list of the troubles in the last days is below. While we may live in a time of lawlessness, we focus on Christ Jesus! We believe He will keep us from the Evil.
Last days perilous times ~~~ (1) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, (4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (6) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, (7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (8) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. (9) But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

In these truths we find that “Being Kept from the evil is important”. The only difference between evil and the devil is one letter. Yet they are the same. In our prayers, fasting is important as we seek the Lord in prayer. A simple prayer like “Father keep us from the Evil”, goes a long way in protecting and keeping you. If you pray, be sure to pray specifically and also name your family and friends to be kept from that Evil. As Christians we must know that God can and will keep us, he is also able to heal us, guide us, correct us, bless us, warn us, and enable us to be a light and a witness to all around us. We do not fear evil, we faith it; God is greater than any power on earth or in heaven. Don’t worry, faith it! Believe, walk in Faith, Trust the Lord. Difficulty and tribulation will come to believers on earth, in this regard read Revelation twelve, verse eleven and remember the Lords words “I have overcome the world”-John 16:33!
Being Kept from ‘the evil’ was important to the Lord! (15) I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. (16) They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. (17) Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As this generation deals with its own mortality, will they wake up to the true things of God? That is a question which will be answered individually. For my wife and I, our lives are centered around the LORD, his guidance, his call on our lives, and what we are to do as Salt and light. For others, their lives are centered on retirement, living an old age in ease with grandkids. Traveling, good food, bills all paid, living debt free, and being healthy are just some of the things that affect most people looking to their senior years or even mid-life. It is in the midlife crisis that many find out life is truly short.
Life is a Vapour Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Jas 4:14 | Through the Glass Darkly
When you begin working out as we have done, you see many who are trying to fight one aspect of that age problem. That is as you grow older your body starts to wean off high caloric needs. The way you used to eat as a teen is not the way you eat now. The way you burn calories is not remotely close to what you burn at this age. When the bible talks about how short life really is, we find James’s warning very applicable here saying “For what is your life? “It is even a vapor, that appeared for a little time and then vanished away”-see above quote from James. Many find the coming of age to be the latter years of life, the contrast can be seen dramatically! I urge you to see it as the beginning of an eternal relationship, one which was finalized in the Work of Christ. This means not just redemption, but a completely new body, new life, new work in Christ, completed. This is a hope and one which was and in Christ. Where the created are redeemed and re-united with the creator God. This is the hope, the completion of salvation, freedom from sin, forgiven, no more accusations against us, and we shall live in that new World and age set aside for the “Children of the HIGHEST God.” It is a time when those redeemed in Christ, are the Sons of God.” Everyone will see him, meaning Christ will come again, and these shall be transformed to be like him, for they shall see him as he is. This is the earnest expectation of the creature, the creation, all that is in it, looks and waits for this manifestation of the Sons of God.” Everything will be made anew, and death and hell will be in the Lake of fire. Thus, the curse of sin and death will be gone forever. That sounds tremendous!

Of a truth, life is short, today is the day of salvation. This is the day to seek the LORD. For he will accept your repentance and sorrow for sin if you are true to heart and bear your soul to him. He knows how serious you are as you honestly walk in love and truth following his ways and teachings. Too many today follow man’s ideas, man’s religious nature and tendencies. Religion, denominations, fellowship, rights of men, and man’s righteousness will not get you into the God of heavens promise. There is only one way. Yeshua [Jesus] told the Jews, Pharisees, and Sadducees of his day the one thing that would save them. He was talking to a group who knew religious ways well. They had many laws, commandments, and knew the traditions that were handed down to them. All this though, was done by them out of duty and not heartfelt. We also need to take note today and be warned. For The same God who judged the Jews in Israel of old, casting them out for their sins and abominations is the same God who watches America and is sending judgment, calling on men to repent of their sins. Jesus said to the Jews of his day what the Work of God was!

I never want to forget the LORD who came and died for me as well as all those who come to him in truth. Be prepared today for a spiritual physical war, if you are not doing this already. Many can see this Spiritual warfare today, but it will increase as the day of the dark one approaches. This is a war where the believers in America and around the world will have to stand up for the LORD. The battle lines were drawn at Calvary and now that battle has come full scope to America. I have been warning America and the nations for many years of God’s judgments. These already are falling upon America and will increase more and more, so that in this land all will be affected. But these will fall upon the nations of men. God is calling all his children to follow him. They will have to ‘walk by faith’, standing ‘having done all to stand, yet they must stand’ firm. We are the Salt and Light in this perverse generation. So, we prepare ourselves daily both physically and spiritually.
The battle is here and will increase in scope until it brings in the ‘son of perdition’. He will rule the world, setting himself up as God in the temple of God. He will make war with the saints and overcome them. Many will lose their lives, but will stand in Glory with the LORD, having washed their robes white in the blood of the lamb. So, my friends as I get up each morning, I can look at the sky and see the LORD looking back at me from his throne, as he smiles; he sends the sun’s rays gently upon me as I feel his presence touching my soul and heart. As he does this, I say to him, “thank you Lord for this day.” I genuinely thank the LORD God for his touch, his blessings, for his creation, and all he has done not only for me, but for all people. For out of his providential nature and love, he gives grace and mercy to men. It is that grace which gave us mercy so we could repent and seek his face. Being forever joined in Christ, let us therefore walk in him in this wicked generation, for we are his light and the salt of the earth. So even though we may see through a glass darkly, not able to fully know all the things God has prepared those who love him, yet we see enough to know that whatever he does will be good. I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. Some folks will ask if it is possible for treasonous forces inside America to be actively trying to bring America down. The forces of the evil darkness will do whatever it takes, to satisfy their dark lord. Pick up The Rising, you'll be glad that you did.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. Will he prevail or will the faith of the People fighting against the darkness win?

The opposition to us as Christians and to the Message of the cross is met and in spite of that we are more than conquerors through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through the Glass Darkly looks at the nations of men and the challenges personally that we must meet. Christ has called us to be Overcomers and Presenters of the Gospel of Christ at home and in all nations. #ThroughtheGlassDarkly
Through the Glass Darkly, we do see; however today clearly, we behold things!
Through the Glass Darkly
This time of the year the morning sky is usually clear, the stars are out, and on a full moon the landscape is readily seen. There was a time when I got up early, as in, four thirty in the morning. These days Five am sharp marks the hour I get up. Usually that is, however, some mornings the Lord wakes me up early, real early. Those times are spent quietly with Him pertaining to what the early morning wakeup call is about. Sometimes intercession, other times quiet listening as I write what the Holy Spirit gives me.
Moreover, the Apostle Paul’s words ring true from First Corinthians fifteen, verse nineteen saying that “if in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.” This statement reflects the eternal nature of the hope we have in Christ. While many live for today, we do not necessarily do that. We enjoy the day, live it for Christ, but our hope is in Christ, his kingdom, and the hope of redemption for all eternity. Today America is centered on the things we see, feel, touch, taste, think, and do. This can be summed up by Johns words, “the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, and the lust of the eyes.” It can be seen displayed in magazines, newspapers, on television, in our videos and everything else we do. To test this, take a magazine and remove every ad that has something to do with food, clothes, and entertainment etc. See what you have left. For the believer today living among a nation of people that are increasingly the masters of ‘hedonism’ is a tough call. Which in plain English says we believe pleasure or happiness is the highest good in life. Taken from the Greek word ‘hedone’, meaning pleasure does describe not only America but the nations of men in general.
In truth, especially for Christians; living in today’s world is full of isms. From other faiths i.e. religions, and onto Paganism, Mormonism, Catholicism, the choices are many. However, Jesus, Yeshua the Christ pointedly told the Jews “Ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
The choice for mankind is to choose correctly. When Jesus went to the cross and died; he was dead in the tomb for three days and rose again. The Apostles witnessed this and were sent to preach the truths Jesus Christ gave them. For mankind, however; the factor was one of Faith and Belief. Here, the believer has the confirmation that God’s Spirit would bear witness with the Spirit of the believer that they were indeed the Child of God.
In addition, as Christians we are to believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, that he will lead and guide us. Faith and believing that Faith consists of our action. We actively believe, we keep the words of the Lord and those which the Apostles gave us. For example, not only do we keep the Words of our Lord in our heart and on our mind, tucking into our spirit; but we also face challenges as other people do. As such our generation is what many believe to be living in the last days, also known as the Perilous times which Paul, warned Timothy about. Today, we can see the signs of these last days which indeed are perilous or “hard to bear”. We also see rampant sin, uncleanness, murders, rapes, and much more. Paul’s list of the troubles in the last days is below. While we may live in a time of lawlessness, we focus on Christ Jesus! We believe He will keep us from the Evil.
In these truths we find that “Being Kept from the evil is important”. The only difference between evil and the devil is one letter. Yet they are the same. In our prayers, fasting is important as we seek the Lord in prayer. A simple prayer like “Father keep us from the Evil”, goes a long way in protecting and keeping you. If you pray, be sure to pray specifically and also name your family and friends to be kept from that Evil. As Christians we must know that God can and will keep us, he is also able to heal us, guide us, correct us, bless us, warn us, and enable us to be a light and a witness to all around us. We do not fear evil, we faith it; God is greater than any power on earth or in heaven. Don’t worry, faith it! Believe, walk in Faith, Trust the Lord. Difficulty and tribulation will come to believers on earth, in this regard read Revelation twelve, verse eleven and remember the Lords words “I have overcome the world”-John 16:33!
As this generation deals with its own mortality, will they wake up to the true things of God? That is a question which will be answered individually. For my wife and I, our lives are centered around the LORD, his guidance, his call on our lives, and what we are to do as Salt and light. For others, their lives are centered on retirement, living an old age in ease with grandkids. Traveling, good food, bills all paid, living debt free, and being healthy are just some of the things that affect most people looking to their senior years or even mid-life. It is in the midlife crisis that many find out life is truly short.
When you begin working out as we have done, you see many who are trying to fight one aspect of that age problem. That is as you grow older your body starts to wean off high caloric needs. The way you used to eat as a teen is not the way you eat now. The way you burn calories is not remotely close to what you burn at this age. When the bible talks about how short life really is, we find James’s warning very applicable here saying “For what is your life? “It is even a vapor, that appeared for a little time and then vanished away”-see above quote from James.
Many find the coming of age to be the latter years of life, the contrast can be seen dramatically! I urge you to see it as the beginning of an eternal relationship, one which was finalized in the Work of Christ. This means not just redemption, but a completely new body, new life, new work in Christ, completed. This is a hope and one which was and in Christ. Where the created are redeemed and re-united with the creator God. This is the hope, the completion of salvation, freedom from sin, forgiven, no more accusations against us, and we shall live in that new World and age set aside for the “Children of the HIGHEST God.” It is a time when those redeemed in Christ, are the Sons of God.” Everyone will see him, meaning Christ will come again, and these shall be transformed to be like him, for they shall see him as he is. This is the earnest expectation of the creature, the creation, all that is in it, looks and waits for this manifestation of the Sons of God.” Everything will be made anew, and death and hell will be in the Lake of fire. Thus, the curse of sin and death will be gone forever. That sounds tremendous!
Of a truth, life is short, today is the day of salvation. This is the day to seek the LORD. For he will accept your repentance and sorrow for sin if you are true to heart and bear your soul to him. He knows how serious you are as you honestly walk in love and truth following his ways and teachings. Too many today follow man’s ideas, man’s religious nature and tendencies. Religion, denominations, fellowship, rights of men, and man’s righteousness will not get you into the God of heavens promise. There is only one way. Yeshua [Jesus] told the Jews, Pharisees, and Sadducees of his day the one thing that would save them. He was talking to a group who knew religious ways well. They had many laws, commandments, and knew the traditions that were handed down to them. All this though, was done by them out of duty and not heartfelt. We also need to take note today and be warned. For The same God who judged the Jews in Israel of old, casting them out for their sins and abominations is the same God who watches America and is sending judgment, calling on men to repent of their sins. Jesus said to the Jews of his day what the Work of God was!
I never want to forget the LORD who came and died for me as well as all those who come to him in truth. Be prepared today for a spiritual physical war, if you are not doing this already. Many can see this Spiritual warfare today, but it will increase as the day of the dark one approaches. This is a war where the believers in America and around the world will have to stand up for the LORD. The battle lines were drawn at Calvary and now that battle has come full scope to America. I have been warning America and the nations for many years of God’s judgments. These already are falling upon America and will increase more and more, so that in this land all will be affected. But these will fall upon the nations of men. God is calling all his children to follow him. They will have to ‘walk by faith’, standing ‘having done all to stand, yet they must stand’ firm. We are the Salt and Light in this perverse generation. So, we prepare ourselves daily both physically and spiritually.
The battle is here and will increase in scope until it brings in the ‘son of perdition’. He will rule the world, setting himself up as God in the temple of God. He will make war with the saints and overcome them. Many will lose their lives, but will stand in Glory with the LORD, having washed their robes white in the blood of the lamb. So, my friends as I get up each morning, I can look at the sky and see the LORD looking back at me from his throne, as he smiles; he sends the sun’s rays gently upon me as I feel his presence touching my soul and heart. As he does this, I say to him, “thank you Lord for this day.” I genuinely thank the LORD God for his touch, his blessings, for his creation, and all he has done not only for me, but for all people. For out of his providential nature and love, he gives grace and mercy to men. It is that grace which gave us mercy so we could repent and seek his face. Being forever joined in Christ, let us therefore walk in him in this wicked generation, for we are his light and the salt of the earth. So even though we may see through a glass darkly, not able to fully know all the things God has prepared those who love him, yet we see enough to know that whatever he does will be good. Just as in the beginning of creation when he made it all and ‘behold it was very good.’
