Warning Sign to the nations. As we continue with the last of chapter 19 and then chapter 20, we find Jehovah’s prophet giving a warning sign to the most powerful gentile nations around. It is true, there are signs but most go about their lives and never see them. Although history and scripture combine to bring us these truths; it is the Lord’s purpose in the earth that rings true here for you to hear. That is, if you do have ears to hear with!

Warning Sign was given for three years; this was the prophet who was the visible sign. Yet for many, that sign went unnoticed. They beheld it but did not consider. This was referred to by the prophet in this prophecy to the nations facing an onslaught. Destroying and overtaking the most warlike and fearsome nations; none could withstand it. For those who are weaker the question was “how can we survive if they didn’t”!

Warning Sign – Isaiah is one of the most prophetic and metaphoric works in scripture today. Although, a long time ago, we find out that in the nations of men and women; the evil that pulls us from the Lord God has not changed. While the covenant in Isaiah day was from the Sinai covenant and the Abrahamic covenant; there are many things that speak to us. We are in the days of the new covenant and the Spiritual Israel. A calling to Israel of old and a message to the gentiles to come to him; we can find all of it in this book. Behind it is Mercy, Salvation, and the Day of the Lord.
In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it; At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia; So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory. And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
