Work of Righteousness is about #redemption. Bringing #Judah back into correct relationship. It is about protection, for those who serve the #Lord have enemies. #Israel was a target for Nineveh, known as #Assyria. Here #Sennacherib did not leave the apple of Gods eye alone. But the work of Righteousness also consists in meeting and defeating the enemy which can bring death and destruction to them. Indeed, the Assyrians paid heavily for attacking #Jerusalem. Although, Jerusalem was delivered; the price paid was heavy for the Jews. The surrounding countryside had been looted. While they now survive, the effort to bring themselves in direct relational areas where #God’s #blessing would #heal the #land and the #people.

Work of Righteousness finds that when the prospects of the enemy of Israel is disposed, then peace can return. With a joyous victory, the panting breath, frightened looks, and dread of the people can be healed. They now rejoice in the prospects of that blessing upon the land. This can only be done through complete surrender to Yahweh and serve Him. Without that relationship, then even deliverance is not possible. But the people did seek the Lord and the Lord delivered them. But the real aspect of this begins. The question is will they continue to walk and serve the Lord as they are expected too?

Work of Righteousness – Isaiah is one of the most prophetic and metaphoric works in scripture today. Although, a long time ago, we find out that in the nations of men and women; the evil that pulls us from the Lord God has not changed. While the covenant in Isaiah day was from the Sinai covenant and the Abrahamic covenant; there are many things that speak to us. We are in the days of the new covenant and the Spiritual Israel. A calling to Israel of old and a message to the gentiles to come to him; we can find all of it in this book. Behind it is Mercy, Salvation, and the Day of the Lord.
