While carrying the cross in China bears a cost, in America the heavy toll of imprisonment, torture, and persecution has never come, the comparison is startling. Yet, ours is one of prayer, support, and doing what we can see the persecuted church escape their troubles. Yet this article is not specifically about the persecuted Christians. For many Christians in the West, this cost is something they have never known except in reports or movies. That Cost for Wang Yi was the gospel, the light of the Lord, and his message is viewed as a “savour of death” to the communist government and a threat. This is the battle today and has been since the coming of the Lord to this earth so long ago. In the quote below, Pastor Wang Yi; one of many leaders imprisoned in China for their faith makes his testimony clear. He further writes that “Christ’s great commission requires of us great disobedience”. The goal he says of “disobedience is not to change the world but to testify about another world”. He clearly has paid a price for his faith. He has made his decision. There is a cost.
Jesus is the Christ, son of the eternal, living God. He died for sinners and rose to life for us. He is my king and the king of the whole earth yesterday, today, and forever. I am his servant, and I am imprisoned because of this. I will resist in meekness those who resist God, and I will joyfully violate all laws that violate God’s laws. Furthermore, in John Chapter fifteen, the Lord speaks to the fact that he is “the Vine and we are the branches”! The glue is the redemption in Christ by God’s grace, thru faith. As Abraham believed God and it was “imputed unto him for righteousness’ sake”, so too all who believe have that same regeneration miracle performed by the Spirit of God upon receiving and believing upon Him. However, in all this, there is a big catch. God is a big God and could have done anything he wanted based upon his righteousness and justice. He gave all human beings the “power of choice”! As John says in chapter one, “He went to his own and his own received him not, but to as many as did receive him; to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to those who believed upon his name.” They were not born again by the effort of men or manmade institutions, but by the Power of God through His Spirit.
It is a miraculous thing to know this supernatural born-again experience. Today, both Tower and I remember our own individual experience and where it occurred. Paul the Apostle also experienced it the same way, but in his case; a full vision of Christ and a message that knocked the Apostle off his horse on the way to Damascus to do his part in persecuting the church. But Christ got to him first and the Apostle finally knew the truth, repented, and followed his Lord. It would be Paul who took on the established Sanhedrin, Jewish lawyers, scribes, and others as he debated with them out of the scriptures. It was clear, all had their own chance to say yes or no to whether they believed Jesus [Yeshua] Christ is the Son of Almighty God and the Savior of all men. The choice was clearly up to the person. Later Paul would recount “we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish. To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savior of life unto life”!

That savor is the gospel message, the redeemed who preach or testify about Jesus Christ, and the church universal who proclaims Christ. That savor is the knowledge of God our Father and of the Son Jesus Christ who gave himself for us, all mankind. However, evenJesus said in John 3:18 that there is a condemnation upon those who do not believe. Further is says thecondemnation is that “True light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light” he says in John 3:19.They love darkness because their deeds are evil. Here he plainly states that everyone that does evil hates this light and will not come to the light. They will not come to the light of Christ because then their deeds would be seen as evil. The truth of all this is in your face, although Christ died for all mankind; they all will not come to him. But to those that do the truth and come to the light of Christ, does so to reveal “his deeds are manifest that they are wrought in God” John 3:21.
Today in this world we have worldwide persecution of Christians on a global scale we have not seen in recent generations. Today’s persecution has been increasing for the last ten years at least, by our own reckoning of the time span. But figure that in the world there are 7.5 billion people, all of whom God gave a choice to believe or not to believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and come to him. That is a lot of choices. By the year 2100 the United Nations estimates the world population somewhere around 11.2 billion people. The astounding nature of this is not going to end anytime soon.
The world population was estimated to have reached 7,500,000,000 at 16:21(UTC) on April 24, 2017. The United Nations estimates it will further increase to 11.2 billion in the year 2100.

As we preach, teach, or testify; we do this to get the message of redemption to all men. However, we are increasingly facing a hostile world, which is anti-god and anti-Christ. Paul mentions in 2 Thessalonians that the society of the last days will be in a great apostasy, and it will reject the “love of the Truth” which is the gospel message in all that it entails.
Today we see China going back to Mao’s roots and openly shutting down churches and throwing Christians and their leaders in prison. This is one of the worst crackdowns in recent memory. Further global persecution of Christians, attacks on Christians and churches, are ever increasing. Erdogan in Turkey is pushing his ideal Caliphate and persecuting Christians there. In Iran, this Persian Mahdi inspired nation is also throwing Christians in prison. In India, radical Hindu’s are continuing to persecute Christians and attack their homes and churches. In Egypt, the Islamic hand of persecution reaches the Copts, the churches, and other protestants there. In Nigeria thousands of Christians have been killed, driven off lands, and no end in sight. There is Fulani, Boku Haram, ISIS and even the government troops have been blamed for this. All around the globe the choice to believe or not is being made. But despite the persecution we have reported on miracles, signs, deliverances, and many Muslims and others coming to the Lord. Amidst the persecution, the enemies of the Cross of Christ are indeed finding truth. Howbeit, many still are enemies and do not believe.
The Partial Testimony and Declaration of Wang Yi
Regardless of what crime the government charges me with, whatever filth they fling at me, as long as this charge is related to my faith, my writings, my comments, and my teachings, it is merely a lie and temptation of demons. I categorically deny it. I will serve my sentence, but I will not serve the law. I will be executed, but I will not plead guilty.
In America as well, we do have a resurgence of belief here. We saw this clearly when during the Trump administration we saw the White House with Trump, Pence, among others pray, and hold bible studies. For this they were mocked and hated. We see America filled with many lukewarm pastors, leaders, and a “rich and in need of nothing” complex. The salt in America has lost its savor. There are many today that will follow anything or anyone but Christianity.
Yet in the nations on earth, America still stands as a nation with lots of Christians. If they would repent, stand up, pray, fast, and look to the Lord; this would be a monumental action of faith. Unbelievably the division in America is vast today and many despise Trump and those who support him. But putting this aside, we have greater potential today to place the message of the Gospel in America permanently and to declare thus saith the Lord to America’s hedonism and anti-gospel hate. The battle is coming to America as it has been worldwide. Make no mistake here, whether Christians in America are ready for it or not; the days of sideline fence sitting believers will be gone. You will have to personally make choices as to whom you will serve. This could mean life or death for you, yes, even in America.
Christians stand as a beacon to all men. Each person who sees us or hears us must know to whom we speak and stand for. They must hear the truth of Jesus Christ and His gospel for if we do not tell them who will? Would this gospel message come from a backslidden preacher, lukewarm deacons, dead church congregants? For that matter would our enemies of the gospel preach the gospel they despise? We are the ones, now is the time. As Christ Jesus said, “Now is the judgment of his world”. He alone is the true light that lights the hearts of those who have received him. Each Christian is a light and a message which to the believers are a message of life and hope. But to those who do not believe, each Christian then becomes a savor of death.
And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. While we have the light, which is in us; let us be found in him. Knowing that the day will come when all those who reject Christ will be judged by the Word which Jesus Christ has spoken. In Revelation we find that Christ when he comes is called the WORD! As John wrote in chapter one, “In the beginning was the WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” This same Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach; is the only begotten Son of God; the WORD and is coming back to judge and make war and His name is called the WORD of God! I have read this book thoroughly, and it is quite a page turner. The author, Dana Glenn Smith, wrote The Rising before all the riots erupted across America. He doesn't have a crystal ball, but he relies on the input provided by our Lord. This book kept me on the edge of my seat, I had a hard time putting this book down. It has a few surprises along the way. I have to say there are a few characters that are my favorite, the Uncle, Tiger, the Uncle's best friend, the Pastor and his wife and the relative of the Uncle. Steel the Darkness is an enjoyable read and leaves the ending wide open for another one. The Col is an evil man, one that seems to be out for only one thing, The destruction of human souls. Will he prevail or will the faith of the People fighting against the darkness win?

In Egypt, the Islamic hand of persecution reaches the Copts, the churches, and other protestants there. In Nigeria thousands of Christians have been killed, driven off lands, and no end in sight. There is Fulani, Boku Haram, ISIS and even the government troops have been blamed for this. All around the globe the choice to believe or not is being made. But despite the persecution we have reported on miracles, signs, deliverances, and many Muslims and others coming to the Lord. Amidst the persecution, the enemies of the Cross of Christ are indeed finding truth. Howbeit, many still are enemies and do not believe.

In America as well, we do have a resurgence of belief here. We saw this clearly when during the Trump administration we saw the White House with Trump, Pence, among others pray, and hold bible studies. For this they were mocked and hated. We see America filled with many lukewarm pastors, leaders, and a “rich and in need of nothing” complex. The salt in America has lost its savor. There are many today that will follow anything or anyone but Christianity.
Yet in the nations on earth, America still stands as a nation with lots of Christians. If they would repent, stand up, pray, fast, and look to the Lord; this would be a monumental action of faith. Unbelievably the division in America is vast today and many despise Trump and those who support him. But putting this aside, we have greater potential today to place the message of the Gospel in America permanently and to declare thus saith the Lord to America’s hedonism and anti-gospel hate. The battle is coming to America as it has been worldwide. Make no mistake here, whether Christians in America are ready for it or not; the days of sideline fence sitting believers will be gone. You will have to personally make choices as to whom you will serve. This could mean life or death for you, yes, even in America.
Christians stand as a beacon to all men. Each person who sees us or hears us must know to whom we speak and stand for. They must hear the truth of Jesus Christ and His gospel for if we do not tell them who will? Would this gospel message come from a backslidden preacher, lukewarm deacons, dead church congregants? For that matter would our enemies of the gospel preach the gospel they despise? We are the ones, now is the time. As Christ Jesus said, “Now is the judgment of his world”. He alone is the true light that lights the hearts of those who have received him. Each Christian is a light and a message which to the believers are a message of life and hope. But to those who do not believe, each Christian then becomes a savor of death.
While we have the light, which is in us; let us be found in him. Knowing that the day will come when all those who reject Christ will be judged by the Word which Jesus Christ has spoken. In Revelation we find that Christ when he comes is called the WORD! As John wrote in chapter one, “In the beginning was the WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” This same Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach; is the only begotten Son of God; the WORD and is coming back to judge and make war and His name is called the WORD of God! He is King of Kings and LORD of LORDS!
