We Would See Jesus

We would like to “See Jesus” would be the modern-day way to put it. Right at the time our Lord said, “the hour is come.” Soon the Lord would be glorified, herein speaking of Jesus Christ going to the cross after he suffered many things. All the while the Jews of Jerusalem had pushed the Roman justice system to crucify him. The quest arises why did the Greeks wait so long to see and hear what the Lord had to say. The Greeks must have seen Philip first and knew he was a disciple of the Lord. However, Philip went to Andrew and the both of them went to tell Jesus of the Greeks wanting to see him. I can see the Lord looking straight at the both of them saying “The hour is come.” Didn’t they know this? If they didn’t, Jesus’ answer let them know. The Lords final words on the matter were “that the Son of man should be glorified.”

We begin this week in our series Rejuvenating Hope with a focus on the “Word Nigh Thee Part two.” In a world of trouble and tribulation the need for Hope in our daily lives is paramount. With this is Faith in our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. It behooves us today to tell people of our own Hope and the Faith in Jesus Christ which propels us. It is in this society in which we live, in the battle daily where we can indeed find ourselves in need of #Hope! It is this Hope we discuss today and the reason we need it is the very fact of where we live, the #time #prophetically in which we live, and the ‘perilous times’ in which we live!

Light to the Gentiles is found within the next section of Isaiah in part 117. There is no doubt within the judgment of Judah and the Lord dealing with them, he has redemptive goals. This redemption is not only for Judah, but the gentiles as well who all sit in darkness and follow their own idols. The world in sin and sitting in darkness cannot save itself. The Lord as creator is moving to redeem all who are in bondage and sin.
