Born of God, it is specific. We are not born by the flesh to redemption, but through the Spirit. We are born through the flesh as fallen and move towards our destiny when we come to the Lord God and our Father through His Son Jesus Christ. This was not a light experience nor one to be ridiculed. It was serious enough that the Apostles were persecuted, imprisoned, and martyred for their faith and the gospel of Jesus Christ. The fact is true, to overcome the world is a victory in itself. But this overcoming is not a good job or billions in the bank. Not of the world we are; we are Born of God and as such this faith in Jesus Christ is our victory and we must not forget it.
